house inspection uptown riverbend only by joent, 9/2/05 18:13 ET - the area you mention on freret is in pretty good condition, no water and from first reports, not too much looting of houses. Someone who works with my brother stayed in New orleans and we were able to get him to break in to my parents house on Audobun street. The place had not been looted as of yet. My brothers house on Burdette seemed OK as well except that they had attempted to steal his vehicle, and my house on Willow seemed OK from first glance. If you have property anywhere between these properties or close by, he may be willing to check on houses in the area. Email joent@earthlink.net. It is still not entirely safe from what he tells me. He had to move to my parents place instead of carrying food back to his place as he wasn't sure he would make it carrying food since he was on foot.
