PETS NEED RESCUING! Can anyone help? (Algiers to Mid-City)

Many pets have been locked up in homes where food & water has run out. If ONE PERSON can go to ONE HOME, A LIFE WILL BE SAVED!

We need to get these animals help or they COULD DIE! People are not going to be allowed back into their homes until Monday at the earliest in Jefferson and even later in Orleans and other parishes. By that time it may be too late. Every moment counts.

Below is a list of streets; if you recognize one, know where it is, and can get to it, please e-mail the owner and Cathy at cvmcdowell@yahoo.com . The owner can give you the address and Cathy can tell you what supplies you might need. Most of these homes have more than one pet inside. These pets are part of people’s families.

Cathy has been using NOLA.com forums to co-ordinate a pet rescue. She's exctracted information from the forums to create the following list.

We can help her in her efforts the following ways.

• Create a single list of all missing pets.

• A searchable archive of all pet discussion.

It will help us all to work from a single list. It will reduce the burden on Cathy if she can announce found pets on her own mailing list.

The list is below. Join the ThinkNOLA Pets Google Group so Cathy can tell you when your pet is found.
