I spoke with several reps from various rescue societies to ask if they will be allowed in to Jefferson Parish after tomorrow, when it will be closed to the general public. They believe that animal> rescue groups WILL be allowed to continue their work---that is EXTREMELY hopeful news, particularly for those of us in Old Metairie, areas of which remain under water (last I heard).

Hi. I am the contact person for three cats at two different houses Uptown. My father-in-law was able to get into Uptown today, and rescuedhis cat Lucy on Hampson St (near Short). She should be taken off the list.
He was also able to drop off food for our two cats Leo and Bagheera on Lowerline St. (through a pet door...). He did not actually see our cats though, so we don't know if they're safe. I don't know if they should be taken off the list or not??
