The American Library Association has a page on the impact of the hurricanes on libraries (there is also a second status page. An update from 4 Sept is online. There is also a donation page specifically for library resources.

There is a NOPL blog: [1]. Nothing about LSU or Tulane yet, but word is that NOPL is pretty much completely destroyed.
