[edit] Introduction

Think New Orleans Internet Workshops show you how to use the Internet to run your organization.

You'll learn how to:

  • Publish a web site for your organization. One with a domain name that represents your organization.
  • Schedule events using an web based office calendar.
  • Create audio records of meetings and publish them on your web site.
  • Create photo journals of your events.
  • Use photo journals to create a photographic record of issues in your neighborhood.

You can start with the Web Publishing 101 workshop. There you'll learn how to publish a web site for your organization. You'll recieve a web site hosted at a domain name of your choosing. In the Web Publishing 102 workshop you learn how to organize your web site into categories and publish photo journals.

These workshops teach you how to take control of your online presence. No more waiting for the web master to update your web site. Changes are made by you, by someone in your organization.

The workshops are fun and friendly. You'll be working with other New Orleanians with the same goal.

Workshops are open to nonprofits, neighborhood organizations, and individuals who are doing that sort of thing, free with subsidized materials fees.

Separate workshops for small businesses and professionals are affordable.
