Department of Planning and Urban Studies

The Department of Planning and Urban Studies - a part of UNO's School of Urban Planning and Regional Studies - is dedicated to realizing the University's urban mission. The Department's faculty, students, and alumni contribute to the city's recovery on a daily basis, in particular through assisting neighborhood planning efforts in Gentilly and Lakeview.

One of the Department's new projects will focus on using the New Orleans Wiki to share information about the city's recovery. In particular, students from the Introduction to Urban Studies and New Orleans Metro Region classes will be editing the wiki as part of their course assignments.
