The Orleans Parish schools being run by the Algiers Charter School Association (ACSA) are also referred to as "Blue Schools" in some documentation.
ACSA schools are chartered through either the Recovery School District or the Orleans Parish School System.
The academic focus of ACSA schools is LA Comprehensive Curriculum.
The school year begins on August 7, 2006.

Registration closed on July 18. Should the number of applicants exceed the available slots, a lottery will be held at each school on July 21.
