Think New Orleans

The Road Home User Group

BarCamp San Francisco, by Laughing Squid.

I’ve been shopping the Road Home Round Table for a while now. Neighbors like it. It takes time to develop, because different people have different ideas about what it is supposed to be. I know that neighbors need a place to confer. There are a lot of other people that get visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads, but the one thing you can count on, is that given the opportunity, these people will gather, and they will discuss their experience.

Why?

David Coustan said it thus, they, the Road Home applicants, are a user group.

The concept of a meetup, conference, convention, didn’t quite make sense when I described it. I did have software conferences in mind when I conceived of this. With those two word, the path to finding an appropriate structure for the forum is shorter and more direct.

Talk to me about user groups.
