Brian’s Latest Comments
One of my favorite additions to the civic blogging platform is Brian’s Latest Comments. Most weblogs have a listing of who posted recently, but Brian’s Latest Comments puts those posts in context.
Recent comments are organized by article. Next to the article title there is a count of the comments for that article. The article that most recently received a comment is brought to the top of the list.
For someone who is checking up on the weblog because they are interested in the conversations in the comments, this system makes it easy for them to see who commented most recenly on which article.
I use this system to make sure that I address everyone who comments on my weblog. I can quickly see that there is a new commentator to address, when a message rises to the top.
I always want to have the last word, because it is always, thank you for commenting.

Please post something about this Nagin Timeline. Folks need to see how badly he has executed as mayor over the years.

thanks!
I am not making political statements here at Think New Orleans. You link is welcome in the comments, but I’m not able to write about your timeline as a posting for Think New Orleans.
