Think New Orleans

Blakely’s Pandering Knows No Bounds

May 17th, 2007

Is it a gaff? It’s not funny. Ed Blakely, father of the garbage-backed security, tells a crowd “Birth control is probably something needed in Louisiana,” as reported in Tough talk on New Orleans by Adam Bednar of the Baltimore Messinger. Take a look at the river of venom in the comments of Times-Picaune link to this article. What does Blakely do all day besides talk tough? Maybe we should call him the Bluster Czar.

have you guys read some of the other stuff this writer has written in the lying picayune. i can’t believe all of you read the daily rag, it wants to be the main powerbroker in town.

for awhile after ‘the thing’ it was reporting news, now it tries to make the news.

    we need another daily newspaper,

I’d like to get more information out though our neighborhood weblogs. The information that comes out thorugh the Times-Picayune comes out too late. It is our local newspaper of record, but it isn’t as fast as we’ve become, here in the neighborhoods.
