I attended kindergarten at the old Wilson school on General Pershing years ago. My memories of it are so vivid that I have always wanted to revisit that building some day and see my old classroom. Was that building damaged beyond repair in Katrina? I note the new address for Wilson Charter School. I live in Oklahoma now and don’t get to N.O. often, but was wondering. Thank you for your help.
I am interested in a position as a Para-professional. I have worked for the past five years as a Special Education Assistant (LLD) at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School in New Jersey. I am now living in New Orleans and I am available for immediate employment. My current resume is posted on both the Recovery School District and Louisiana Public School web site. Mary anne- The old Wilson was damaged severely. However, thanks to the Broadmoor Improvement Assn and the Broadmoor Charter School Board’s hard work, Wilson will be one of only 5 schools rebuilt for the 09-10 school year. The original structure is on the historic register so it will be rehabbed, but the later additions were demolished to make room for a new structure. You can read more about it in these links:
